For anyone interested in joining Ryde Round Table, and wondering what sort of charitable events we take part in, these can be quite varied. One of the events we always try to help out with, is the annual “Walk The Wight” festival, that takes place to raise money for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. This year we were fortunate to have another beautiful day for our very early start to help marshal the event from Bembridge, helping direct traffic to the event, and with the parking. After an early start and a few hours helping out, we then head off for a much deserved breakfast in Ryde. Marshalling is one of the regular events we do, in order to help raise money for good causes. It is always great fun, working with fellow club members, and members of the public and this year was no exception, with everyone in great spirits at this wonderful event.
